Each Dane throws out an average of 11,4 kilos of waste each week. And over half of it ends up in the incinerator and goes up in smoke. This is shown by the Danish Environmental Protection Agency's latest statement.
It is better to use the resources to sort and recycle the waste.
But you can also start the step within, and be aware of how much of what you buy ends up as waste later.
Here's how to create less waste
- Buy quality stuff. You may have to pay a little more for the good quality, but in return it will last longer.
- Repair things.
